It was the innocence that drew her in the first time. It was the continued innocence that drew her back, again and again and again. She was sweet, simple, far too much for the likes of her. And yet, when she first picked her up when the last toy she had broken was beyond repair, she could not help herself. The sweet taste of blood, so pure and sweet, she could not hold herself back the first day, and drained her far too much. But she still lived, still survived.
Hyde was lucky. She carved into her skin a mark, she was her's, it's been a year now and she wondered how she held herself back for all that time. She was innocent, still, and Hyde wanted to ruin it, today. Her looks were her downfall, the caring eyes and that sweet smile. Hyde wanted to make her bleed, in more places than her neck, she wanted to hear her cry and sob beneath her, wanted to break her smile and her will.
"Sylv, come here." She was reading a book, seemingly nonchalant, and Sylvia was there, too. She wondered if she should introduce to her the room - but thought better of it. Her library seemed to be good enough, for the most part, and Sylvia liked it here, anyways. Let her have that small comfort.

Sylvia had been lost deep within the book that she was reading. So much so that it took a second for her to realize that miss Hyde was calling her. She looked up from the book and blinked a few times to get the haze of her daydreaming out of her mind. She stood up from the spot on the floor that she was sitting at. She had become used to the fact that here in the world of the vampires she was of low standing. Siting on the floor, keeping her head down, using sir and ma'ma were all things she had learned. Hyde was not kind, but she was fair, if Sylvia was good and did as she was told she was normally rewarded with good reading, a bed to sleep on and interesting meals from time to time.
She moved over to Hyde's side, she sat on the floor on her keeps and bowed her head in respect, to be called over meant that her owner wanted something from her. "Yes M'lady." She kept her eyes low out of respect, not fear. Sylvia spent the pass year learning all she could and she still felt that there was so much more for her to learn. She subconsciously touched the mark on her collar bone, feeling it as if it was still new. A year old and she knew that she would never be able to not think of herself as something owned by Hyde. She had worked it into Sylvia's mind that she was something to be owned, and yet it did not really bother her much.

"Closer." Hyde dragged Sylvia up by the collar of her shirt "How am I supposed to feed when you're down there?" But Hyde would be lying if she didn't enjoy the submissiveness. She'd be lying if she didn't like the handiwork upon her collarbone. She'd be lying if she didn't savor the way her pain made her feel. "Today's going to be a little different, though."
Hyde dropped her back down with a satisfied smile on her face. "You've been a very good girl, and today I've decided to reward you. Would you like that, a reward?" Although it was a reward, it was more for Hyde than Sylvia. She'd held herself back this long, and so today, in the darkness of the library, in the sanction that she knew Sylvia loved, she would take it.
But first, she eased into it. "You've been reading a lot this past year, would you tell me what you've learned?"

Feeding? So that was what Hyde wanted from her? She should have guessed, Hyde normally feed only every once or twice a week. Which meant in the time around that Sylvia was basically free, well as free as a piece of livestock could be. It was ok though, Sylvia had her books, both full of information and stories and she still had many more to read. She followed Hyde's movements sitting up better so that she was now on one keen, her other leg ready to make herself stand if miss Hyde asked for it.
Yet just as Sylvia was ready to feel the fangs of her owner once again on her neck, she was almost disappointed when she was released. This was odd and a feeling of worry washed over her. Why would Hyde speak of feeding and then not have her fill, it did not make any sense. "A reward?" The work almost seemed foreign in her mouth, as if it was something naughty that she was not meant to say. "I have learned much, but feel that I am still only at the beginning. You, or more so what you are, is still something new to this world. Fifty years to be correct. But to live you must drink blood, you also can no longer shape change or return to where you first came from. Still I want to question why take over the body of humans in the first place, why stay.. I'm sorry, I did not mean to question you M'lady."

"If you have so many questions, Sylv, I wonder why you haven't asked me yet. Or is it you're too afraid?" And yet, Hyde was feeling particularly indulgent today, perhaps it was her way of feeling guilt. She never felt the actual emotion, and yet on some days she had felt compelled to be more... kind. After a particularly brutal feeding, she would always speak kinder, even if she didn't mean to. Feed her better, provide some sort of favor.
Or perhaps it was all coincidence. "How could we leave, is the better question. You do have much to learn, Sylv, and who am I to deprive you of learning it yourself." She wasn't sure if livestock could actually understand the feeling, the pain of no longer being a djinn but something in between, something that didn't truly belong. Yet the charming thing about her livestock was that she would at least try.
Quite charming, indeed. The trickery of an innocent was no trickery, just sincerity. "Surely you haven't just been learning about strigoi, or do the intricacies of our daily comings and going interest you that much?" She was stalling, a bit, kind of.

To ask, Sylvia would have loved to, but there was something that told her that there were some times that just asking was not allowed. She just would feel a bit too unease about just freely asking all the questions she had. After all she was worried about upsetting miss Hyde in some way. "I just wish to not trouble you M'lady." It was the truth, though she did do her best to stay away from the word fear. Yes sometimes she did fear Hyde, but then soon after she would feel bad about it. She knew miss Hyde was not all bad. otherwise she would have been dead ages ago. Already she was feeling bad about mentioning such a stupid thing as miss Hyde going back to where she came from. Who was she to even mention such a thing, she was sure that she had insulted her owner.
"I am sorry, I did not mean any disrespect, leaving, not leaving, it does not matter. What matters is that you are here now." She meant it, all that mattered was the here and the now. Sylvia had no one else in her life, Hyde was enough for her. She had no family and she never made a single contract since she was never officially a magician. She bowed her head, worried that if she wasn't careful she would be punish for speaking out of turn. "I've leaned many things, I leaned how it feels to be someone's livestock, how the strgoi live among each other, how the magicians believe that they are so great."

Surely that was not the case, Hyde looked at Sylvia incredulously. But she let it drop - it was not something she needed to address right this instant. Fear... well, soon Sylvia would be full of it. And blood always tasted the best when being pumped with so much adrenaline - she could almost taste it now. She could just imagine... Sylvia was a divine wine, of sorts. Her blood already tasted exquisite, as it was. Not many things hurt her, and yet the way Sylvia just didn't seem to know any better was almost charming, in it's own little way. "Don't fret, Sylv. You don't need to quite yet."
Already Hyde had moved behind her, she was moving her hair away from her shoulder, she could see the scar she had marked upon her skin so long ago. Her hand grazed over it, admiring it. "Beautiful..." she whispered, into Sylvia's ear. She leaned in, as per usual, to take in her scent, and usually she would bite in and drink her fill - not enough to subsist, but enough to satisfy her for the time being. The blood donors filled her cup well enough, already.
"You smell exquisite." She could just bite in... right now... but she resisted. It would be better later, she reminded herself. Better later. She pushed the girl down so that she was facing the floor, on her knees so that she could see that shapely behind... "Don't fight it, it'll only hurt more."

Yet? That word did make Sylvia wonder a bit. She normally did not catch such things, but when asked to be so close she had nothing better to do but focus on her owner. Every word was important, every motion. She needed to pay attention, it was part of her job as a livestock, she was no only food, but she also was meant to attend to the needs of her owner, no matter what that may be. Still she wasn't expecting Hyde to move behind her, and since it was unexpected she did end up tensing, and her breath caught in her throat. This was it, it was time to be fed on once again. Never to be the last, she would continue to be Hyde's play thing until the strigoi got tired of her. Then where would she be? Discarded? Dead? That was a road she was still unsure of, but she knew the time would come at some point.
"Tha.. Thank you.." Should she really be thankful about being told that she spelled nice? It was only because miss Hyde allowed her to shower daily and that was how Sylvia knew that she was being good. When ever Hyde allowed her something nice, that meant she was doing right by her. She was pushed forward and found herself on her hands and knees. She did not try to move away, only doing as she was told. Maybe Hyde wanted to use her as a foot rest? Whatever it was, Sylvia thought that was was prepared for whatever her owner wanted. Though the promise of pain did worry her slightly was she being punish? Did she do something wrong?

Hyde was not overtly cruel - she didn't mean to cause too much distress for her poor little pet. She didn't want her broken beyond repair. Not quite yet, at least. That would be fun for a later time. Although Hyde was not sure if she wanted to get rid of her little toy at all - she proved to be so very fun, even in the oddest and most peculiar of ways. God, it drove her absolutely crazy.
She was really truly playing the part of someone so virginal and pure. A white dress - one of Hyde's gifts from long ago. It was short, barely covering anything in her position. She took a moment to admire it before lifting it. White - again - obvious. "You've been very, very good lately. That's why I'm going to take away your purity. You'll thank me later, of course. They always do."
Sylvia was, of course, a little different. More naive. More gullible. "The pain won't last long. Now will you be a good girl and stay here, like this?"

She didn't like this one bit, sure she was meant to be some sort of tool for her owner, but this would be going too far. Wouldn't it? She was food, she was a service. She always did her best to do what she was told and also kept out of the way. She even grew to want to be of help to Hyde. She felt some strange connection with the stigoi, but this was not what she wanted. She was pure, she was innocent, but she was not stupid. She did not want this, and she would defy even miss Hyde just enough to show that this was not something she signed up for when she willingly became a livestock.
Livestock, that was it wasn't it? That one word that changed a human from a person to just food, treated like cattle. THat was one of the problems right there. Strigoi didn't see humans as equals in any way, only as food, only as something lesser them themselves. Maybe Sylvia had been too blind to see the truth on that, but she would not allow it to define her. "Please, I would rather you not. Although I am always thankful, that.. that would not be something I would thank anyone for." She had planned to stay "pure" forever, never really worrying about sins of the flesh. She was prefectly fine with the way things where.
She reached behind her and pulled her dress down and then sat up so that she was back to being upright on her knees. She would fight, at least a little to prove a point. She did not want this. |

Hyde clicked her tongue. She was mildly annoyed, yes, but then again, she hadn't imagined that she'd even take it that far before Sylvia decided to rebel. Complacent as her little livestock was, there was such a thing as going too far, and her virginity was one of them. No problem, though, Hyde would give her a little lecture and then go on as planned - taking her purity whether Sylvia wanted it or not. "Pet, you seem to be forgetting just one thing. You're mine. That is, until you die, which you inevitably will before I do, so you may as well make it more bearable."
She traced her hand once more upon her mark, the mark that Sylvia was, indeed, her's. "Remember how much you cried and begged when I carved this into your skin? Are you not thankful for the gift I have given you - dare you throw away the luxuries I have bestowed upon you? Sylvia, you are much smarter than that." If Sylvia couldn't detect what was wrong before, she could now. Rarely did Hyde ever call her by her full name, and always in chiding.
Hyde got up, walked a half circle so that she was in front of Sylvia. "Should I send you back to the penn, with all the other cattle, string you up so that your blood can serve any, that any strigoi, even the lessers, could have their way with you? Or would you prefer me to do it, first?"

The fact that she was called by her name and the fact that Hyde was threatening to send her back only proved that this was something she was not going to get away from. Still she was confused, why that, why was it that Hyde just want to take everything away from her. First her freedom, which she gave up willingly. Then her flawless skin, then her choice of food and clothes. Now she would take the last thing that could be taken her purity. Why? Sylvia question it a hundred times in her head, why. That mark, yes she did belong to Hyde, but she also belonged to herself and would continue to feel that way. Her soul was her own, no matter what Hyde ever did with her body.
"I understand M'lady, I will obey, but please answer me this. Why?" If Hyde was going to do it, no matter how hard Sylvia was against it, then the best she could do was give in, less pain that way Still she needed to question her owner, even though she knew that it wasn't really allowed. Even if just earlier Hyde had mention that Sylvia could ask any question she wanted. She did not want to return to the pens, the idea of anyone else feding off her was madding, and what if they were even worse. No, Sylvia knew what she was getting into with Hyde, she did not need to change owners.

Hyde had honestly expected a little more fight, a little more rebelliousness, and yet before long she had Sylvia wanting it - well, at least resigned to her fate. Perhaps the little tidbit at the end had been a bit excessive - not many of the livestock were subjected to such things, but the possibility was still there. But if anything, Hyde was possessive - she would never lend her toy out, even if it was to teach her a lesson, nor would she ever let another strigoi lay a finger upon them.
"Why? You mean beside the fact that it is within my rights and that it is common practice. I have given you food, shelter, the comforts of these books and all I ask for is a bit of your blood and an occasional bedmate - from this point on, anyhow." a year she had let Sylvia keep her purity. A year that felt like six months too many. "It is simply because I want to. I want to see you writhing on the floor, begging me to stop. I want to see that pretty little face marred with pain. I want to see it eventually turn into the best feeling you've ever had. Is it wrong of me to want to share that pleasure?"
Once more she placed Sylvia upon her hands and knees. Once more she lifted the dress. She really was innocent about these things. "We have chatted enough. Enjoy yourself - if you can." |

She had given up, given in. If this was the way things were going to be then Sylvia would just have to fight in her own way. She would not let Hyde just win, she may take everything from her but Sylvia would still smile, still be pleasant. "I understand M'lady, I am to be as you want. To be used as you see if, so be it." Still this was her own way of winning. Instead of fighting she would just allow Hyde to have as she want, and then Sylvia would move on. She would silence herself, become the toy that Hyde wanted and then return to normal afterwards.
She would not beg, she had at least some of her own will power still let inside, but she knew that this was a losing battle. She needed to play along, she needed to stay on Hyde's good side, at least for now. She was back on her hands and knees, she took a deep breath but stayed quite. She would not cry, she would not scream. Enjoy? How could she enjoy something like this.

She'd left her on the floor after she had done it. Hyde had been more gentle than she usually was, even when she had said she wouldn't be. To be fair, Sylvia in her hands seemed so fragile and delicate, exactly like a porcelain doll. It almost felt wrong to do more damage than need be.
But when Sylvia had resigned herself, Hyde did feel some disappointment. It was less fun, less exciting, she herself couldn't find her pleasure as she gave it to her toy once, twice, three times, more. But she was never in it for that. At the peak she had drank her fill, and even now her neck was bleeding.
"You are dismissed. You can go about as usual, read your little books, clean your little wound." Hyde smirked nevertheless. "And I'll never forget the way your body sang to me."
