Her first memory included a red haze and a metallic taste. There had been screaming and begging, she thinks, but the strongest thing she remembered was how ravenous she was and the burning she felt within her being. It was this raging hunger that she couldn’t seem to quench until she was lapping at the blood that was coating her hands, already drying on her pale skin.[break][break]
Perhaps that’s part of the reason why she found her kind so disgusting; they were merely leeches who were hardly any better than vermin or the humans that so often preached were beneath them. She loathes her kind even now; maybe even more now than ever before.[break][break]
As much as her hatred runs deep for all strigoi, she isn’t stupid enough to voice her disgust. No, in the world of strigoi, one had to be loyal and she would do her very best to pretend she was. She was a noble after all; her loyalty was supposed to belong to the king. In this world, it was all about loyalty in order to survive.[break][break]
The humans gained her sympathy for this reason, she supposes. They were mostly innocents who didn’t deserve cruel fates. The idea of harming them was always highly unappealing to her. No, they were far more interesting to be just food for her kind. To be toys to torture and play with. Of course she kept her intrigue of the humans quite. It would be troublesome indeed if others realized her intrigue was more along the lines of caring for them.[break][break]
Only the tiny few she truly trusts would ever know of the soft spot she held for the humans. It always paid to be an expert at keeping a pokerface when necessary. For her safety and the few she cared for.

She always did well when it came to warping one’s perception of reality. Victims fall into horrific and sometimes crippling hallucinations if they aren’t mentally strong enough so long as she keeps her eyes on them when using her magic. Other times, she simply alters what it is her victims see. However, she hardly ever uses her magic at all as she can’t stand how it leaves her so drained to the point of barely moving for at least the entirety of a day. Then, of course, is the fact that she cannot bear the idea of feeding due to the overwhelming thirst that accompanies her magic. On top of that, her nearsightedness harshly limits the range of her eyesight, so the moment that her victim strays out of her clear line of sight, she can no longer project hallucinations to them. Because of all this, she would much rather rely on the natural abilities her kind possesses.
