The first time she was dragged into this world, it was nothing but pain, confusion and rage. Never again, she swore. How these puny beings had learned her name, she did not know. She did not like this individuality they had forced upon her, ripping her from the comfortable oneness of the Other Place. Her first summoning had been brief and ended brutally, lasting mere weeks. It had not taken Kali long to find a way around the words which bound her and the death she gave her master had been anything but pleasant.
[break][break]
It was a long time before she was summoned again. Though time passed differently in the Other Place, much had changed on earth. The stupidity of magicians, however, had not. She marveled at their audacity, and wondered whatever had possessed them to think they could keep her collared. The second magician, like the first, seemed to have no knowledge as to the intelligence of the djinn he had summoned - let alone what she was capable of. He took just a wee bit too long to get around to the "you may not kill me" bit and his wards were woefully inadequate. Unfortunately the swift kill earned her little in the way of peace. The next summoning happened within a matter of months and, much to her annoyance, this magician was a touch more clever.
[break][break]
Yet, he too, was quickly dispatched. This process was repeated over the next thousand years until one magician had the audacity to curse her with his dying breath. "You will never return to the Other Place." Panic hit her instantly, followed by a murderous rage beyond any she had ever felt and she let loose an inhuman screech. The bastard had the nerve to chuckle as his remaining life drained from him. "DAMN YOU! DAMN YOUUU!" With a vicious fury, she carved flesh from bone until what remained could not possibly resemble a human.
[break][break]
Seething, she had turned on multiple unsuspecting victims before whisking away to some godforsaken corner of Paris, swearing to kill every last magician 'til her last breath. It's been half a year since she was cursed to remain here forever, eternally in pain, nursing her festering hatred for magician-kind. She was unfettered by any contract, but crippled by her inability to return to the Other Place and heal her essence. Kali was far from stupid though, and used her abilities as sparingly as possible. Hatred, cold and pure, numbed her to the pain, but she never let the fury rule her. Lashing out without care would not achieve her goals.
[break][break]
Malicious, cunning, manipulative and ruthless, Kali will do just about anything to carry out her punishment upon all magicians - even if it means hurting other djinni or very literally sleeping with the enemy. She is one-hundred percent lies and deceit with no regard for the consequences to others. If befriending a magician will get her access to something she wants, she'll do it. Wearing a mask of pleasantry and patience has always been a strong point of hers. And, as much as it annoys her, the more human she appears, the better. Kali is not above using any means necessary to achieve her goals, no matter how much it pains her.

Kali's realm of expertise lies in poisons and the creation thereof, though what she truly does is manipulate plants and her bodily fluids to a lesser extent. Specifically her bodily fluids are poisonous and it would be extremely unwise to ingest any quantity of them as it feels much like you're being burned alive from the inside - even brief contact can result in mild irritation. She can also essentially coat her skin in poison by secreting it through her pores; prolonged contact may result in high fever, vomiting, and mild hallucinations.
[break][break]
The flower which serves as her right eye is ever blooming and can produce varying types of poison that can induce anything from vomiting to temporary paralysis to death - though the latter takes far too long to prepare and she'd rather finish you off personally anyhow. She is also able to manipulate her flower-eye into growing thorny vines which she is able to willfully and skillfully control. The thorns themselves are poison-tipped and receiving a scratch will land you in the hospital, puking your guts out.
[break][break]
She is no longer under contract to any magician, however she is bound by the dying words of her last master to roam this earth forever with no hope of returning home to the Other Place.[break][break]
