Blue catches the wind, so fluid and soft, almost like water. Xavi automatically notices, his eyes blinking as he recognizes that pretty hair. He knows who it belongs to and he walks over with a soft smile tugged at his lips.
"Hey, again. Out shopping for more things you don't need?" He asks as a tease, a soft laugh following after.

She was lucky enough to have a rich master. Even if she did hate him. Even if he made her do the most infuriating of things. She didn't understand him at all, she'd much sooner go back to the other place. But at the same time... may as well enjoy the human world despite it's toxicity and general unpleasantness.
She'd gone to a boutique today. She liked looking at the clothes, though she never really bought any. No need, when she could just change them herself. Still, Parisian fashion was so very cute.
"Oh, hey Xavi. And yes, I am shopping. I may as well enjoy myself while I'm stuck here."

"Oh," comes his reply. He shoves his hands into his pockets as he glances down at the floor, pushing his shoe against the polished tile. "Sounds kinda boring..."
Which... it does. She seems so... flat to him, so bland as she looks at her clothes and puts off this air of "quiet bratty tantrum."
"Why not do something else that's exciting?"

She isn't sure whether she should be offended or not at his statement. Well, yeah, it is kind of boring. Maybe for him, anyways, but she kind of enjoyed it.
"Hmm, what have you got in mind?" It sounds like an invitation to do something exciting, and Cordelia's not sure if she should but she kind of wants to.
Though she guessed, it would all depend on what he suggested.

Oh, he wasn't exactly inviting her. Honestly, he was just insulting her with that friendly face of his.
He smiles, however, moving his hands around inside of his pants pockets.
"Well... yeah, anything beats staring at clothes all day. What's so special about clothes, anyway, huh? It's not like you can't change yourself to look however you want to whenever you feel like it." His eyebrow quirks as he looks her over. "Why did you choose this form, anyway?"
Perhaps he can pull her away from her fabrics and walk with her a while. "Like... wouldn't hanging around human stuff make you sicker?"
Logically speaking, he has a point.

She's oblivious to his two-facedness. She refused to believe that any djinn can be horrible to another, but maybe that's just idealism speaking.
"Well, despite how much I hate here, I decided I may well enjoy it. You don't understand - the clothes look really cute. I'm not going to buy them, I'm just... getting ideas for later. And I chose this form I guess, kind of randomly. My master wanted it, and I guess I kind of grew a liking to it."
The clothes were pretty. She liked them a lot. It was all new to her - this whole clothing thing, body thing, earth thing. She'd probably be insanely curious if she wasn't consumed by the want to kill her master for be released.
"Well, simply being here makes me sicker, so I may well do what I want while I'm sick." She walks with him. "How about you? How'd you choose your form?"

Xavi laughs out loud, throwing his head back. It's a hearty laugh, one full of pure and honest entertainment.
"You're in this form because your master likes it?" He asks, narrowing an eye at her. "You mean... you change your form to bend to your master?"
Xavi snorts again. "What a tool."
A hand slips out of his pocket and pushes through his hair, feeling those silky soft strands.
"I chose this form because I wanted it. You know. Like a proper djinn." He smiles again, looking at her. "I actually like humans as a species, so I took their form."

It's not like she could actually help it. Lysander thought of everything in his stupid contract. Obviously, it wasn't his first time. But Xavi's right. "He is a tool. I'm glad someone agrees with me about it."
Though she knows little about Xavi himself. She's curious, but like always she doesn't ask anything, not yet anyways. It's odd, though. He actually liked humans. Though maybe she would if she could look past the fact that she was trapped here and it hurt like hell and she was staying here for a good part of her life. Stuck with her master, who was one of the only humans she interacted with.
She sighs. "I don't understand how you can. Like humans, at least."
She genuinely doesn't understand, but perhaps it comes with time. But she can't imagine herself ever liking her master or anyone of his kind anytime soon.

Oh... he meant her. He stares at her for a moment, smiling coy.
"Humans are interesting. They're so weak, yet they push themselves so hard. Not only t hat, but they've lasted a really long time, you know? Just... forever growing."
He's also thankful for the fact that his master lets him go back to the Other Place to recharge frequently enough.

Cordelia's never thought of it that way, but still she is adamant at her hatred. It might only be herself that feels this, and even so it's not like she actively goes about causing havoc to humanity.
"One day they'll have to come to an end, though." She says nothing else, though. She has nothing to say to that.
"Oh! What have you been up to these days? It's not often we meet." It's not often that she's let out of the house to do whatever she wants, either.

"And that's--" he reaches up and lightly boops the tip of her nose with the tip of his finger. "Where you're wrong!" How wrong was a mystery, but he was sure they would flourish.
As for what he was doing.
"Oh, you know... studying... learning... picking my own form and not being a tool for my master. You know. All those great things." He isn't going to let that go. "Why would we often meet, anyway? I thought you hated me."

She couldn't help herself.
She got angry. She didn't know why she didn't get angry sooner because she realized that everything he had said was a thinly veiled insult, but she was quite mad now. "And that's where you're wrong. Although now I'm quite debating how much I really do hate you."
Cordelia really wished he didn't have to rub it in how he had freedoms that she was now allowed. If she hadn't known better she'd have yelled and chewed him out, because he was being really mean and unfair right now. Kind of reminded her of someone too. "I'm sure your master uses you too!"

Xavi bristles when she mentions his master. This has nothing to do with him...
"He doesn't use me," he replies with a low voice, his demeanor suddenly changing rather dramatically all of the sudden. "He needs protection and i'm there to keep him safe because I choose to."
The demon almost snaps, taking a step forward. "He's weak, as are all humans, and people keep wanting to hurt him, so what do I do? I make sure that they can't. You hear me? I l-...."
He swallows thickly. "I live to make sure he breathes."

Her outburst was met with something she wasn't expecting. But she was practically fuming anyways, and nothing could stop the words that sped out of her mouth, even at his little dramatic show of both power and... what was that, fragility?
Cordelia almost laughs at him, cruelly. Uncharacteristically so, if she'd say so herself, but she'd within the depths of madness.
"Is that what he told you? You're here because you want to be here? Even if you live to make him breathe, isn't that the same as being a tool? What a half-baked hypocrite you are."
She almost regrets the words out of her mouth. "You're pathetic, thinking you're all high and mighty. Face it - we're summoned to be used, and once we're all used up, we're sent back."
Cynical, her words hurt even her.

"I could kill him if I wanted to, ignore what that contract says," but he won't. Because the truth of it all was that he loved him. How could he possibly hurt the one that he cared for the most? "I'm not a tool. My master cares about me. He always sends me back to the other place for me to heal. He doesn't keep me on this plane until I collapse. You don't even know him!"
