The bag looks heavy as the girl drags it across the rough concrete beneath her. It scrapes, skcch, skcch, skcch. Just watching her would send chills down someone's spine.
It's a body bag.
"Hey there," he calls out, perking a brow. "You look like you need.. help."

Such clumsiness is unwanted. Unnecessary even, she thinks. It's unfortunate that something like this had to befall someone like her who had already been on the edge to begin with. Chipped nails dig into the straps of the fabric, the woman yanking hard on the bag and no doubt jostling its contents.
At least it was in the middle of the night and few, if any, would catch her in the midst of the act.
Or so she would have liked to believe up until the very moment that there is a voice that catches her attention, the woman whirling her head in their direction before panic seizes her and she turns away once more. Hurriedly stepping away and pulling harder as if it would really be fast enough to evade the eyes of a wary stranger.
"'m fine. I don't need ya' t' 'elp me none. In fact, can y' pretend y' didn't see m' in th' first place?"

But she isn't fast enough. Oh no, not to get away from Malakai. He's almost fluid in the way he walks, catches up to her, flings himself around so that he's suddenly in front and blocking her path.
"Nah, anytime anyone says lets pretend we didn't do or see something is always a red flag to do the exact opposite, so that's what I'm going to do!"
He glances around her and pushes his foot towards the bag. "So what's inside?" And he looks up at her, getting a bit too close to her face. "Wanna tell me?"
