he's inspecting a newly crafted artifact; the bow is made of aged yew, carved with an artisan's careful hand and polished to be a work of art as much as a weapon. wilmer glosses over the decorative woodwork, instead admiring the warmth, the palpable pulse of power that passes into his fingertips when he runs them down the bowstring.
