 CHRISTIAN E. REISLING a thirty year-old soldier discharged from his post for mental instability after the horrors experienced on the battlefield, christian is but a hollow, broken man filled with paranoia of the government and of this world. he steals to get by, but will take a job if given the money to back it. developing seeing ability of other planes has him pretty much fucked over.
friends there are no real friends in this world. christian terms them as temporary allies as long as they work in his favour. in the moments where his head is still clear and he can still think rationally, these are the ones he will hold out for. christian offers them unfailing loyalty. he does as he's told, performs his roles.
enemies look down upon him and so he shall damn you. he loathes to be belittled. however broken a lunatic he may be, he once had pride for his abilities. he is a grudging man who will take his burdens to his grave. he hates to talk about his feelings. he will stab the people he hates, fr srs.
loves there is no one to love. the one he thought he did perished in battle along his side. familiar faces may come to haunt him, but he needs a safe place for his mind, and anyone offering that may help break him out of the walls he has built around himself. everything else is physical and non-committal.
 LOU O'KEEFE a twenty-nine year old magician who's had people look down on him since young, people don't expect much out of lou. he's not the brightest of chaps but he stands where he is today through his own merit and he'll ruthlessly take his post until someone pries it from his cold dead hands.
friends regardless of his job or not, lou's an easygoing man. he's got friends in high places. he has old friends from the orphanage who are livestock in the catacombs. everyone is a friend. even if they aren't, lou plays nice with them because he has stakes in everything, so he's careful not to make enemies too easily. if you feed his smoking addiction you'll be his best friend.
enemies anyone in his time who thought he wouldn't make it, still loathe his position can sit here. he's had to do a lot just to get where he is, and harbours a huge grudge for anyone that told him in one way or another that he wasn't going to make it because he has and he will most gladly rub it into their faces because he can.
others he has family that gave him up as per state rules, and he has djinn loosely contracted to him. he's got a string of lovers that may or may not have been essential to his climb to the top hum hum. |

christian reisling i'm not exactly sure when he was in the army but i figure if it was any time in the last seven years him and ciaran could have crossed paths? idk i think it'd be pretty neat because ciaran went into the army only so he could send money back to care for an aging parent-- just like christian, and so i feel like he would have tried to keep up with him and get really disillusioned by everything that's happened to him? like a sort of 'that could be me' feeling?
i don't know how he'd take it, though. ciaran would be the type to come by at every possible opportunity to try and help him as much as possible, regardless. |

ciaran callaghan he joined at least ten years ago, so he might even have been higher on rank than the regular soldier, maybe ciaran's superior or under him, whichever you'd prefer. ciaran could definitely been someone he knew! on a more dramatic note, ciaran could be the few faces he vaguely remembers in his moments of clarity. his reactions can swing to both extremes - he'd either gratefully take everything that ciaran offers like a saviour, mumble about days gone by, or when he starts acting up and doesn't recognise ciaran he's an absolute mess thinking he's a monster or something and trying to stab him or something oops. otherwise, please give him all the help he needs/thinks he doesn't need. i'd love to get a thread going for them c: |

eliza pemberly i did actually consider making christian a resistance leader as well but he's too unstable for it. temp friends would be good - christian needs someone to teach him how to get used to having sight, which he thinks are just hallucinations right now. if eliza wants to be all nice and helpful (maybe give him a job, idk he can lift things) that would be super, but she can also kick him into the dirt for being kinda useless as a resistance member right now. your call! we can def get a thread swinging down |

christian reisling i should not be doing this i should not be doing this [im supposed 2 be still on hiatus but] hey ho i thought i could plot christian with fang yuhua. this is a little unconventional as a plot but i'm anything but conventional haha. a few years ago when the seraph first came to yuhua, she left the walls and roamed around the place doing weird seraph stuff, but really it was more of an adventure kinda deal. maybe they came across each other during that time? and well, as monsters and the like more or less ignore seraphs because they just sense something's wrong, maybe that creeps him out too? idk man. i hope you know what i'm getting at. |

fang yuhua pshh hiatus shmiatus plots are always v welcome. i definitely like the possibility of them having met when christian was in the army outside. it might have been those one off things where even his own artifact and magical being avoiding yuhua and all and he's like wtf is this. i won't guarantee that christian remembers the encounter well. his mind is a huge mess rn and gaining sight has him a little flighty, paranoid, and in all a general mess of things. since she was a commoner once before the seraphim took control, some sort of past together could serve as some form of trigger to help him recall? idk what i'm getting at but uh yeah have at it if you'd like i'd love a thread when you're back from hiatusing? |

christian reisling omg ok for some reason i couldnt for the life of me type his name correctly it took me like 8 tries?? cryshtan? krysdan? christal? wtf.
okay so the only idea i really had was for judah stafford to have met him. judah is livestock, prized pet of the strigoi king since he was just a kid. i like the thought of judah trying to run away when he was younger, and ending up getting taken in for fighting or loitering or w/e and then maybe the king or one of his men comes 2 fetch judah and thats how they first meet. i don't know where to go from there tbqh but it would be fun to have them meet since they're both like cornered animals |

christian reisling Oh ho, Kali might get some sick kick out of messing with him and his new-found vision. She has to break up her ceaseless scheming to kill magicians with some sort of amusement after all. Perpetually plotting murder does get rather boring sometimes. >D

In other news, not 100% sure what her level of involvement with him would be, but I could see her offering him plenty of cigarettes if only because her thought process would be something like: "Mwahaha, these are going to kill you one day. Yes, yes, do have another." xD |
