the subtle glance at judah isn’t missed. chevalier’s effort is commendable yet transparent. no true affection chevalier has for him, only a superficial longing for his love.
“you ask for my love, and yet long for another. how am i expected to give myself to you for the night when certainly you’ll be thinking only of the one you stole from me? don’t you know the pain you cause me by your treachery? i want to love you.” from the throne, he raises. chevalier is easily side stepped. “you disgust me. how dare you think me a fool when you sneak behind my back and long for what’s mine right in front of me.”
easily moving to intercept judah, he stands before the blonde. his smile is cruel. “did i dismiss you? or are you going off to wait for chevalier to sneak back to you when he’s done pretending there is love for me in that black heart?” he holds judah’s eyes, speaking without words. “he doesn’t really love you. only i have ever loved you.”

he's turned away from the two of them, though he's not far enough to shake the image from his mind when myron is back in front of him.
judah is livid. he's sick of these false freedoms, that myron lets him do as he pleases, yet expects judah's undying loyalty; that has the nerve to speak of love.
"i don't care." he moves to step past myron.

His desire for Myron's love is real, just as real as his love for Judah. The ability to love more than one resides in this man and to be denied. Again. It could kill Chevalier where he stands.
To see Judah pull away from Myron makes his heart swell, but he knows the little human only cares for destruction and that's exactly what he's doing by pulling away. Little by little, he's trying to chip away at the king, or so Chevalier thinks.
"Why do you tell me to ask only to have my request cast away as if it were a lie? My desire for you is real, Myron." His cool eyes stay locked on the powerful strigoi. "I want to feel your hands. Your gaze. Your lips."
A pale hand reaches up and rests at his chest as he watches the king try to taunt the livestock. "My love for you is real. I want you. I am yours, after all."

too cruel those who hold his company with such need, and judah who desires only his destruction. together they join against him. before him they appear divided and speak lies while their mind feeds the truth.
“you want my love, yet you look at him and think of him. your thoughts for him are so strong it sickens me. you desire my pet more than me, and you sit here and plead as if words make a difference?” such ferocity reflects in the glaring eyes turned to chevalier. “if you want my love, think only of me when you ask for it.”

rage flashes in myron's eyes, but judah keeps his gaze level, and quickly realizes it's intended for chevalier. he follows myron's attention with something similar, seething, as he meets chevalier's eyes over the king's shoulder.
chevalier has always been gentle, cowardly. he looks at judah, but it is always fleeting. he says he will make judah his consort, he will make him free, move mountains in his name - but he will not say this in the face of the king.

To long for a pet, Chevalier can see how this would be insulting. Disgusting, even. His eyes glance to the floor, feeling almost ashamed. He won't admit those things to Myron. Never. He won't think of those things in Myron's presence. Chevalier may be cowardly, but he is no fool.
He looks up at his king once more, his mind clear and free of anything but Myron. His eyes' gaze are fierce, wounded, as he looks at the strigoi.
"I long for you," he states as he walks over to Myron once more. Chevalier's words are honest and true, full of a certain yearning. "So badly, Myron... Believe me. For so long I've wanted you at my side again... I admit jealousy."
His brows furrow.
"It just can't be helped... When I see you with another, it rips my chest to pieces."

such loving tenderness in the touch he lays on chevalier’s cheek. his eyes are soft, brimming with affection fixed on chevalier’s treacherous gaze. he is fool not by his lies, or the faked yearning in his words.
“if only you spoke the truth to me, my darling chevalier. i would be happy to take you in my arms.” he drops his hand from contact. to judah’s side he goes, ushering the boy’s leave. He signs, “go on, judah. you were leaving. i will be following you out.”
and he takes his leave without a glance back.
