He was... a little stressed. Marcellus was working them like dogs - not that Oliver didn't understand why. The recent attack had sent his superior in a bit of a frenzy. He'd ordered them (at least, him) to keep an eye on things, don't let anything escape their notice. And Oliver was trying his best. Though as of yet, he hadn't encountered anyone. He assumed that would be the case seeing as he was in the inner tunnels.
So despite all this to keep in mind, regular patrolling. Kind of.

Sessions with her had always been on the painful side, but it seemed that this particular session was one where she was just letting out all her frustrations on him. He was used to it, yes, but the fact that he was set to start patrolling right after getting done with her, well... Quite honestly, it was just insufferable but he would have to suck it up and do what he was set to do. His superior wanted it done, so he would do it.
Still, he briefly wondered if anyone would offer him some slack after what he had just gone through.
Silently sighing, Rune turned a corner and nearly bumped into someone. "So it seems I'm not the only one who was set to patrol this area," he hummed, a slight edge of amusement lacing his otherwise monotonous tone. "Haven't found anything, have you?"

Startled was he that Oliver had almost used his powers. He'd focused on the target and... and it was Rune. All defenses dropped readily. He really didn't want to startle the guy. "Not a soul. You're the first person I've encountered this entire time."
Not that this entire time had been particularly long. Nor was he doing the best job of it (he was meandering around, though that in and of itself was fine if he was mentally concentrating). Still, glad of the company, he knew there must be some reason Marcellus assigned two guards in one place. "Have you seen anything out of the ordinary?"
