He yelps, jumps away from the explosion, his eyes wide and heart pounding in his little chest. Soon, his attention turns to her again and he glares furiously. Now she's a threat.
"Now you've gone too far," he murmurs. "I was trying to be civil and you've attacked me. There was no reason for that." He lifts up a hand. "You get one last chance."

really, it wasn't meant to hurt him. hardly an attack, more of a jumpscare. petty, for her own amusement, she supposes. more damaging to the pavement than the boy.
ruba cocks her head at his threat. she considers him a moment, shrugging slightly. she wants to leave, just as much as she's interested in his reaction.

A jumpscare or not, it took Kris off guard and he doesn't appreciate that. To him it was dangerous, an unknown explosion of pavement and dust.
His fingertips crackle with energy as he points them Ruba's way, his eyes fierce and sharp, his lashes icicles. "Tell me your business and i'll let you be, otherwise i'll alert someone."
It could be a lie for all Kris cares, just as long as he hears the words come out of her mouth. He wants her to answer him.
