He doesn't come here often, but does love the excitement that seems to fill the grungy air. He stands out like a sore thumb, pale and white with blushing skin. A contrast to the dark sidewalks and bricks of the nearby buildings.
A contrast to a man across the way with what seems to be glowing eyes. Odd, like his own, but far more exotic. Golden, almost, and his own eyes widen in wonder. He grips his jacket, a soft gasp of breath filling his lungs. So beautiful, those eyes and that bronzed skin.
Kris' feet seem to walk towards him on their own, his eyes still wide in awe. "I beg your pardon," he excuses himself, "but... I just had to tell you how absolutely beautiful you are..."

Cyrille is carrying about his morning duties - buying fresh herbs, mainly. He was running low. It's not that strange for him to be stopped, sometimes its a mother worrying about their newborn's cough or an elderly man who can no longer work due to an injury. This time is different, he is stopped because of his looks. Truly, he's not surprised. Nothing really surprises him anymore.
"Hmm? Me?" He looks around - there's no one else. He's supposed to be humble, so humble he will be. "Ahh, truly thank you.' He smiles, its rehearsed. "I'm Cyrille, and you are?"

He blushes again, tucking a few strands of white hair behind his ear. He blinks quickly, glancing down to the man's feet as if ashamed to even look him in the eyes.
"My name is Kristoffer," he answers with a soft smile on his lips. "I really am sorry for bothering you."
He notices the little bags in the man's hands, full of herbs and other things. "You look so busy a-and I've just come up here and spoke to you without even having a real reason--I'm sorry."

He shakes his head. "Truly it is no bother." There's a gentleness in Cyrille, something that has long been there - something that he can not control. "I have to carry on with my duties, but you are free to join me."
"It's always nice to have company." He looks at the man, for a good moment and notices a few things. "You don't live around here, do you? You should be careful."

Join him? Well, he supposed if he was invited. His eyes lift and he looks up at the brilliant person beside him, mouth open ever so slightly as he ponders what he says. "N-no... I don't live around here... I rarely come here, actually. Though I do sometimes..."
When he was lonely, which was often.
"I'll be alright," he replies to the warning. "I am a magician after all."
Kris smiles warmly and honestly.

He's not phased by the statement that the boy was a magician. "You should be careful who you say that too, Kristoffer. This place isn't exactly friendly towards magicians." He keeps his voice low, and leans in as he says it. People are bitter, people are cruel, and even if he hasn't committed any crimes, people will still clomp him up with the rest.
"My tasks aren't exactly exciting, I'm afraid." He continues on his walk. "I have one more stop before I drop these off at my clinic."

Like a scolded child, Kris feels ashamed. He nods in reply. "I'll be more careful," he murmurs, honestly forgetting where it was that he happened to be. He was in the outer ring, not the safety of his precious inner city. Here, he is outnumbered, but oddly enough he feels calm and safe. "You work at a clinic?"

"Yes." A simple answer to a simple question. They reach their last stop, and Cyrille exchanges a few words with the stand's owner. The owner praises him, tells him that he doesn't need to pay, but Cyrille insists and leaves coins on the stand as the owner will not take them in his hands.
It takes a few more minutes for them to reach his clinic. "I apologize, this probably isn't up to your standards." It's humble, but like the rest of the Outer Ring, he's sure it doesn't have the same class. One of his sicker patients who live at his clinic greets him. She's young, orphaned, but she smiles at Cyrille which causes him to smile back. That one was one of his rarer, truer smiles. "I have a few patients to treat, until I am free again I'm afraid."

The clinic is quaint, but he can't find it in him to judge or criticize the building. "It's a fine establishment!"
And then... So beautiful and warm... Kris can't help but blush at the sight of that smile. "Do you mind... if I wait for you?" He asks, fiddling with the fabric of his sleeves.

"No not at all, are you interested in learning? I'm afraid I'm not much of a teacher." While it was true that a lot of his medicines were made by him, truly most of the healing done in this place was from raw power alone that he wasn't sure many could hold.

Squeamish? He ponders the question. "No, I'm not squeamish." How disgusting can a clinic get anyway?
"I'd love to watch, if that's alright. Perhaps I'll learn something along the way." He smiles again, lacing his fingers together behind himself.
