the horrors in this world are all too apparent for him. clients that take advantage of him, first born children being taken, death, spirits, magic. to him, they are terrible, cruel, they must be stopped. perhaps then the world will have peace, perhaps then the world will be better for them all. he knows people are tired of being second-rate, taken advantage of, being given scraps as the others live in the lap of luxury.[break][break]
he wants a better place for them all. a world of kindness and softness and none of this spirit nonsense. it has done naught for the world, as his parents will tell him what their parents have told them. paris was once beautiful, and perhaps it is beautiful today in the coveted inner sanctum of the magicians. it was the city of lights, love, of peace and cafes and art and romance. he wants, one day, to see it all again. they were not animals, to be corralled and told to stay put. they were but human beings.
