He shifts under the unwavering scrutiny. Lips twist in a scowl, eyes focus their glare on Kris.
“These are all I have.”
Threadbare clothes unravel at the seams. Wilmer’s clothes are too small, and he won’t risk taking Corbett into public.
“Shut up. I wouldn't hurt him.”

The shorter male walks around the taller, lets his fingertips brush along those tattered fabrics. He needs a feel, a slight touch.

The attention is unwelcomed, unwarranted. What was Kris seeing when he looked him over, a plaything? Certainly not a being with thoughts and emotions, that’s for sure. Perhaps he lost that right with his humanity.

A little giggle escapes the albino's lips as his pink eyes smile with him.
A threat from a vampire; how exciting. But, he's anything but threatening to the magician.
A purr, a curling lip tugs into a smile and his fingertips gesture towards the taller male's neck.
"You don't want nice things?" He asks, a pretty necklace placing itself loosely around the vamp's throat, draping along his collarbones.
Another gesture, a ring at Corbett's fingers. "There's nothing wrong with it."

Invisible the spirits moved to obey their master. A necklace, a ring gingerly placed. He stared at their shining gold and glittering jewels. Once they would have charmed him, not anymore.
“You aren’t supposed to be here. What’s it matter if I’m in rags?” He snarls. "Stop coming around here."

Narrowed eyes, pursed lips. With a flick of his wrist he charms the rags, giving them the appearance of expensive linens and trims.
A bit of Cinderella magic. It isn't real.
"Willmer is my friend," he chuckles as he speaks. "I'm allowed."
He steps back to take a look at his musings. "And now you look like a million dollars." Kris smiles.

A sensation caught somewhere between the touch of wind and the fluidity of water. Trick of the mind, but a convincing one. He lifts his arms, inspects the illusion. A glance spared at a mirror. Was that really him? No, just a trick.
“Wilmer.” The name is wrong. It’s not the name he knows him by, a lie. “He may be your friend, but that does not give you right to me. I’m no one’s plaything.”
Lies, nothing but lies. He undoes the illusion, vapors lifting off his form. Another glare, eyes filled with hatred. Magicians are the enemy. They’re to be destroyed. He advances, body language threatening. Hand out, soft fabric seized and crushed up in his palm.
“Stop fucking around. I could kill you right now, you know.”

His smile fades when his clothes are grabbed, a scowl replacing his pleasant expression.
Those filthy hands are crunching his shirt. Pink eyes glance down, only to look up again. He isn't scared.
"I was trying to spruce up your clothes, Corbett. Let you be pretty for a few hours," he states as he forcefully pries the vamp's hands from his shirt.
"You won't kill me, sweetheart."

Fangs bared, like a cornered dog, he snarls. Were Wilmer not involved, he certainly would kill this damnable magician. If he hadn't still clung to sentimentality as if his humanity still remained he wouldn't be concerned for the boy from his childhood either.
He drops his hands, looking down at their pale flesh. Kris is equally pale, an albino. Still himan.
"You aren't as safe around me as you think." He presses a palm to his forhead, presses hard. "Do what you want, but no illusions. No magic. I can't stand your tricks and deception."

Tricks and deception? More like fab and glam... The vampire speaks about Kris as if he's some sort of demonic being. Ironic.
"I'm not trying to deceive you, Corbett. Your clothes are honestly just God awful," he replies with a soft chuckle mixed in with his words.
Even with the warning, Kris brushes it off as he flicks his wrist, "I can't believe you don't want to look sophisticated."

He plucks the fabric hanging limp off his shoulders. Frayed, full of holes and stained, his clothes have seen better days, these, the clothes of a royal guard. She had saved him from the brink of death (death nearly brought from the very monster she was) and promised him greatness. Dead now with his dreams and his humanity. (But she's of the kind who stole your dreams.) And Kris, no, the magicians, sent him to his fate.
"You don't think I know that?" He should throw them away, as he threw away his life. "That isn't it at all. Just shut up."

liquid air, magic, gathers around him once more. to a glance, he stood now a marvel of sophistication. velvet and silk, vibrant hues, it's all very nice, but the magicians arrogance still crinkles his brow.
"don't stand so close." misty voiced, too close, he hears heartbeats, blood pushing through veins. "i don't know how to have fun."

a grin, slender fingers reach up to lightly touch that perfectly set hair. "well, first off..." he glances down to look at the taller male's frame, then up at his face again. a light touch of his fingertips against his lips, tugging gently. "smile."
his warning words fall on deaf ears and kris keeps his close distance at corbett.
