He was making his rounds today, checking on the shops that sold his little inventions. His medicines that were said to heal headaches, among other illnesses. Still it was a way from him to collect money to feed and care for his livestock, while not relying on the king, or that man's followers. He found himself paused in a book store, it was a small one, simple with a very limited selection.
Still he took the time to browse, finding himself to be bored. That was until he got this strange feeling, a feeling that made the hair on the back of his neck stand. His eyes scanned the area, but he was not completely sure where this feeling was coming from. Still he was interested in finding out, he wanted to meet the thing that could cause him fear, then rip it apart and study it's inners.

today work had been boring. writing up as many articles as she can, stupidly, quantity not quality. and the worst part about it? she had to write non fiction. the news. things she did not want to write. either way, the biggest concern was for the well being of her imagination. she had been writing so so much about the recent massacres, she felt her brain was going to explode. she needed something that was light hearted, and not true, for once.
the local bookstore was her fix, the place that giselle got all of her books. all her inspiration, along other things. it was her one-way trip to becoming a better writer, absorbing the styles and trying to incorporate it into her own. it was usually empty, oddly, but someone else was there. he gave her the creeps - he was full of sin. but she elected to ignore it for the time being, deciding to deal with him later on, after she bought a book and read it.

Although the odd feeling would not go away he could not help but get closer, there was something about this woman that caused him inner panic. Still he was normally such a calm man, enough so that he was able to fight the feelings that she was giving him. He moved closer till he was standing next to her, then he reached for a book that she had been eyes. He picked up the book and held it as he eyed the cover. "You seem to like books, do you happen to have and recommendation for a good read?"
He would start by trying to draw her in, maybe get an idea of what she liked. Then from there he would talk to her, distract her. Then without warning he would drug her, take her home and then really get into his research. He was looking forward into seeing what makes her work. Also her wanted to know what made him so fearful of her. Such a weak looking creature after all.

please don't look at her, please don't look...
giselle's hopes were dashed in an instant as he - the man with so much sin that she could hardly believe or register it - looked at her. and then went so far as to approach her. why was there someone with so much sin approaching her. no, why was he in this neighborhood? this was a nice, safe neighborhood. while everyone sinned, this guy, he... he was off the charts.
she really wanted to be haughty and ignore him, but she didn't have the heart to do so as he asked her a question. he didn't deserve niceness, he deserved vengeance, but giselle could not exact it. especially when he had taken the one book she'd been eyeing. "what kind of books are you looking for? i think the staff here are probably better suited to answer your question."
she supposed she should try to find another book now that the one she wanted was in his possession.

He could feel it, see it as her body tensed, as she tried not to deal with him. He found it amusing that she acted this way, and yet still answered his question. This was good, it meant that even for whatever she felt about him, she couldn't help but be social. He took everything in slowly, and even noticed the subtle notice of the book he had picked up. Was this book of any interest to her? Did she want it?
He would have to test it out, but first. "Maybe, but I only wanted to recive your opinion if you would be so kind, how about this book?" He held the book firm and turned it over to look at the front and back. It was like waving a line of bait fro a fish. He was so close to reading her, he was sure of it. Once he knew how to grab her attention then he would, then he would use it to get what he wanted.

He was persistent, she'll give him that. But Giselle never dropped her guard because alarm bells ringing in her head was a bit... they were telling her no, ignore him, ignore him until the end of time. Or, well, when she had to make sure vengeance was swift upon him. One day, for she could not right now. Still, she forced niceties and pleasantries out of her mouth, even if she loathed it.
"I've never read it. I wanted to, but you just so happened to grab it. Now I'm going to need to find another book if you're oh so interested in it." Giselle was a little annoyed. Hands crossed her chest and she turned away in a huff, although once she opened her eyes her gaze continued to follow the book, still interested. Why'd he, of all people, have to be the one doing this? "If you're going to read it, you should go check out now."

He had her attention and now he would do everything to keep it. It was like fishing, all you had to do was use a little bait and the hunt became easy. Still easy was not always the best way to go about things, but Sombra was sure he'd be entertained. He made sure to draw attention to the book, moved it just slightly, turned it over at least once. The whole time he kept it in her view, then he finally spoke his idea.
"Well I have no way of knowing if it will be of any interest to me, but since you have interest in it a well it only seems fair to give you a chance at it." He smiled, friendly enough, but it still held something more to it, what? well that was unknown. He took a moment, paused as he came up with a suggestion, he was unsure if she would take it, but he wanted to read her reaction.
"Why don't we make a trade, I will buy this book, or any others that you hold interest in and you can read them to me? I be the company would be enjoyable, then you can also have someone to discuss these books with. Wouldn't that be nice?"

He moved the book, her eyes followed. Giselle had absolutely no willpower when it came to books. None whatsoever. She even ignored her basic instinct of run because of this man's probably awful sins. Because he showed an interest in a book she also held an interest. Maybe he wanted to have an intellectual talk? Or something, maybe hoping too much. She was hopefully that he might surrender the book to her, maybe just maybe.
Or maybe he could also set the warning signs off in her head to world's suavest predator. The offer sounded too good to be true. Free books at the expense of some time taken to read them to him? But at the same time, that was incredibly sketchy. She knew nothing of this man besides that he was a really, really bad man. "Um, perhaps not. It's fine, I can get another book. I don't want to waste your money."
Clear uncomfortable, she inched away from him. Round a few corners in the bookstore, stay out of his sight and be on the down low and she'd be out of here. For now, her alert of this man was far more important than her desire for a new book.

The bait was not working as was intended, but now that he found this creature entertaining he needed to know more about her. Like a hungry cat he watched every move she made, there would be no escaping from him. If she decided to run, he would chase. Still she would not read for him, how sad, he liked owned pets that would entertain him, it doesn't work if she would no comply. He smirked, he still had time to change her mind, in his own way. Even as she moved away, even as she tired to hide, he was already on her trail.
It was the middle of the day, meaning the shadows around him were at their peak, he could use them without even trying, make his present as a Strigoi or former djinn stay nice and quiet. He did not really remember who he once was, but he knew that being a strigoi, he was some sort of powerful djinn at one point. His nightmares and the shadows around him said as much.
Even though his right eye was hidden behind a eye patch it could see pass the patch, seeing with the eye's of the shadows he controlled. She moved away, he moved closer. He even made sure to let her know that he was still interested in her. "Little lamb, why do you hide?" His voice had changed, any kindness was now gone, and he had entered preditor mode.

Giselle had a bad feeling about all of this. She wasn't going to get another book, or stay in the book store another minute. She was going to leave. And she was going to report him to the authorities. Well, that would be a bit difficult seeing as she didn't know his name, or what he did, but 'eyepatch guy in bookstore acting suspicious' was a good enough anonymous tip, right? Not to mention, she could also describe him if need be. She'd been doing that a lot lately. Anonymous tipping. They had gone unpunished for their sins. This guy was the same.
The change in tone was what tipped the scales, in which she replied - "Oh, I'm not hiding, I just need to go somewhere right this moment very bad. It must have slipped my mind. Sorry! Bye!" Giselle could not hide the panic in her voice because he seemed scary, very scary, moving closer to her as she tried to inch away from him. At that point she'd practically speed walked out of the store, and from there, ran.
He wouldn't dare do anything in broad daylight, right?"

She made excuses and then she ran. This would be fun, he had hoped that things would have been easier, but in the end this was how he liked it. Treating her like a wild animal he would follow and he would hunt. Once he was bored enough then he would capture her, take her home and test her, find out what ticks. She was different from all the other humans, and because of this he wanted her from himself. He wanted to know what she tasted like. He wanted to hear her scream, wanted to know what he had to do to put not only fear but obedience into her. He would break her, and it would be sweet. He left the book store after paying for the book that he had tried using to bait her.
After all she would need some sort of distraction while she was in the cage, the first step in the breaking process. Little did she know that she was being hunted, but if anything she would probably at least feel as if someone was watching her, maybe even following her. He moved slowly, he would have his chance, he just needed to wait for it. His shadows did their job, prancing around, sticking to her own shadow as she ran. He would always know where she was, his shadows were his eyes as well.

It feels as though she is being watched.
Giselle can't shake the feelings. It's indescribable. She kept looking back, but there was no one there. It was day time, and yet she saw nothing out of the ordinary. Yet still, she felt the feeling. Was it because of that weird dude in the book store? She couldn't shake the feeling though, after reassuring herself, over and over again.
She'd been paranoid the entire walk to her house, and when she closed the door, locked it, she felt safe for maybe less than a second before she realized. The feeling was still there.
Damn, was today going to be bad. She could just feel it.

He continued to follow her, although he kept his distance, letting his shadows do all the work. They stalked and they followed her. All the while as she never really noticed what was following her. Sure she might get the feeling of being followed, but unless he wanted her to see it, there was no way she would notice as his shadows hopped from one to another.
He followed and then found that she finally made her way home. He then waited until nightfall he wanted her to be weak, tired so that taking her would be so much easier. Soon his time had came, he could not get the feeling of wanting this woman to himself. He needed to keep her close, study her, see why she was so interesting. He did take his shadows away for the rest of the day till he was ready to come back. He only used them to find where she lived once he knew that, all he needed to do was play the waiting game.
Once the time had finally can he made his way back to her house and let himself inside. The creatures created from his shadows were able to open the door after watching how she had closed it. He walked inside her home and made his way to her room. He did his best to be quiet, but there was no promise that she would stay asleep for him.

After the unfortunate encounter in the book store (leaving her both frustrated that she couldn't even get one book for herself, and paranoid that the creep had somehow followed her despite taking the long way around to her house and even doing some perilous stunts), the feeling soon waned and she settled down for the evening. She still felt a little distressed that the feeling had persisted until she got home, not quite feeling safe, but no one could get in, right? It was only after a constant barrage of reassurance on her part - she was doing this way too frequently - that she started to feel better.
At least it kickstarted her muse somewhat. Maybe she could write something out. Creeper was still on her mind but she pushed it out in lieu of the typewriter and whatever she could get (she was a stickler for tradition, the typewriter a gift from her father and believe her, she put it to good use already) onto the clean piece of paper. She'd probably wake up tomorrow, look it over, decide it was utter crap before disposing of it into the trash and going to work.
She went to sleep fitfully, trying not to think of the encounter, of other things that happened today. Her boss yelled at her - not a first, and probably not a last. That was common. She'd finished her article, probably going to need a lot of edits, as usually. Common. The only interesting thing that happened was the book store, but she really didn't want that to be the highlight of her day. She didn't sleep well, at all, nightmares.

He entered her room like a stalking creature, his shadows moved around the room. Their red eyes watching her like monsters in the night. Sombra pulled out a small case from inside his jacket pocket it was a case full of his most prized creations. Syringes full of only things that he knew, things that made his life easier with those that he captured.
He pulled out one syringe with a yellow liquid inside it and placed it slowly to her neck, nothing dangerous. He just wanted to keep her quiet while he took her away, take her to a place where he could study her even better. Once the substance was injected into her body, he waited the correct amount of time before he finally picked up her body, in whatever nightwear she had on. He moved slowly, and walked her all the way down to the catacombs. He had a few of his fellow Strigoi eye him, but they kept to themselves.
Most knew that Sombra had his own way of doing things, and was helpful enough when asked, but preferred to be left alone. Once in his home he stayed quiet enough, hoping not to wake his little blind livestock. She was easy enough to startle without him trying. He took his new prize down to his makeshift basement He placed her in the cage that he used to break all his slaves. She would be left there, until she awoke. He even dropped the book they had spoke over next to her body and then locked the cage. He then left her, it would be a few hours before she woke up.
