The word ‘demon’ never really suited Corbin. He doesn’t see himself as so undeniably evil. No, he’s perfectly capable of displaying kindness (albeit never in a way that inconveniences him, but still). However, his existence isn’t dedicated to causing misery for humanity. More, he’s on a constant quest for entertainment. Almost entirely Id, Corbin doesn’t have much in the way of morality or a firm concept of good and evil. Rather good and bad is based off the question ‘am I having fun right now?’[break][break]

This is his first time being summoned, and it is all very new. All very exciting. Besides, Corbin was never attached to the Other World as much as some of the other djinn on Earth. He actually enjoys the sense of individuality that this world allows. To be part of a swirling mass of energy means lacking any true sense of self. Going back to that feels almost like dying, losing all his identity that this world has given him. He only wants to go back and join that collection of essence when he begins feeling weak enough and in need of a rest.[break][break]

All that being said, he has no interest in becoming strigoi. He’s not really interested in becoming fleshy, unchangeable, and worst of all, parasitic. Being a contracted djinn fits him perfectly. A role that he seems perfectly at peace with to the confusion of the rest of his kind. At least so long as he is entertained.

Corbin is currently contracted to @harley. He is a relatively loyal djinn. Even if his master loosened the reins, he would probably be one of the few to not kill his own mistress. However, he might mess with her slightly to watch her reaction. He is also somewhat curious about her. His mistress seems so young, and he is obviously her first summon. How will her life end up playing out?[break][break]

Corbin’s magic revolves around illusions, dreams, and the subconscious mind. He can alter perceptions with powerful illusions that can trick human senses. These illusions can only extend as far as field of vision. They can affect everyone, but can also be selective, so that only one person is experiencing them. If he uses his power over the subconscious mind, he can drag out one’s another person’s fears in order to create tormenting illusions. That being said, he can also drag out any subconscious thoughts, fears, and desires to the forefront of one’s mind in order to influence or manipulate people. While Corbin has some idea of what goes on in deep recesses of a person’s mind, he is unable to know surface thoughts or what the conscious mind is thinking. Lastly, he is also capable of some dream manipulation and communication. He can enter dreams and shape the environment how he sees fit, but also relay messages during dreams. This requires him to either be in the same room as the dreamer or have something belonging to the dreamer.

Your entire application is contradicting. He’s not good, but he isn’t bad either, and yet he doesn’t know right from wrong? If you’d just said he was indifferent or neutral to humans, maybe, but you talked about him being kind then go on to say he lives for entertainment and will do anything to have a good time. His good and bad are based off what’s fun. It makes no sense. Djinn do exist that don’t kill their master and can be loyal; however, your application doesn’t give that sense. It’s too contradicting.
You also talk about how he hated the other ‘world’ and it’s oneness. It doesn’t seem like you’ve read the lore, because the other place isn’t painful for them. It’s understandable that a djinn would like the individuality, but earth is consistent agony to them. It’s really difficult for them to like it over the other place. Also on the topic of lore, djinn don’t choose to become strigoi. It was an event that occurred during and only during the rift. So Corbin couldn’t choose to become a strigoi.
The other problem is in the djinn’s power. While illusion is a bit over used already, that isn’t enough to pend for. What is, however, is your excessive use of it without any real limitations. You say he can single out or use “as far as field of vision”. That isn’t a legitamte limitation because a djinn’s field of vision can be anything. That could be passable is illusion was his only ability. But it’s not. You have some mental manipulation, mind reading and dream manipulation, all of which also have no limitations and together are way too over powered.
