destroy until god shows

faelhaebun is floating again, mid air laying lazily on her back. she rolls onto her stomach and props herself up on her elbows on nothing when she goes to answer usha.

"interesting thought," faelhaebun says.

she pauses to think, she never has bright ideas. she entertains herself with the world around her, the humans are entertaining enough for the most part. "the prime minister would put up a fight, i wonder what it would be like." a smirk slowly paints its way onto her face as she rolls back onto her back. "imagine how he would taste."

"if it has been so long since your last good fight, maybe i should make your blood boil," she says, as a joke. she's not interested in battling usha. they're allies, for now. perhaps if their contracts were dissolved and their master dead she'd be more willing, but not now.

faelhaebun rolls her eyes, "bah! the heart is what good. if he is old, then it will be hardened on the outside but soft on the inside! it will melt in your mouth better than any soul." she's salivating at the thought and she's still got her lips in a smirk. "i wonder what dear master tastes like? so young, his heart is most likely mushy and chewy, sweet like candy i would bet."

"aren't you supposed to be on watch duty?"

he approaches the idling pair from behind, re-emerging from the building with a manila package tucked against his chest. there's no real disapproval in the voiced question. fae and usha are capable enough to simultaneously chat and keep a vigilant eye on the higher planes.

the topic of their discussion's vaguely repulsive, but nothing he hasn't heard from the two before. "my heart's fine," he adds as an afterthought. it's still beating. that's enough.

She blinks once, twice, three times before chuckling to herself. "Relax before you give yourself a heart attack." She walks over to him, places a hand on his shoulder. Her touch is gentle, but her claws gently scratch him as though to keep him calm. "Don't forget what we are," she winks, "we'll keep you safe, surely." Unless they kill him, but as soon as she thinks about it a hundred years of whips, chains, and pain come searing back into her memory. She drops her hand from his shoulder and her smile fades.

"Perhaps, but he'll work himself to death. It'll be tough... chewy." She makes her way back to the wall. Her mind tries to block it out, but really to no avail.

wilmer doesn't forget anything. he's a good little human who does his work as needed and makes sure there are no holes in his plots.

faelhaebun's eyes light up at the mention of a powerful monster on the northern front and she's floating in front of wilmer. her face barely a few inches from his (no concept of space, no hiding emotions behind a mask, no pretending she does not want this) and for a moment, she forgets about the tasteful conversation she was having with usha.

"really? really really," she says. eyes steady, up close, she will have that moment on the battlefield. "you are not joking?"

"really," he repeats and almost cracks a smile at the starry, open wonder in fae's expression. her bloodlust is terrifying to consider, actually. wilmer doesn't want to guess at the images playing before her eyes and leaves her to it, turning away to observe usha.

"that sounds excessive. i'm not the prime minister." not that there hasn't been the occasional bizarre threat, scattered assassination attempts mostly botched to begin with. "you're on call like usual. if i need you, i'll summon you."
